You shouldn’t have, I can still become a Baseball star while working a part-time job, Thanks though.” Came Haru’s soft rebuttal, but I could see in her eyes that she was thankful that I supported her dream. “Yeah, I thought on what you said on our birthday & even though it was meant as a joke, you were right we’re at the legal working age now, we have been for a whole year, it’s unfair to expect mom & dad to be the only workers here, so I applied for a place on Metis System’s new Counter Hacker program, which although it’s classed as part-time it’s good enough to be a grown man’s only job, anyway, I got accepted & that e-mail was their equivalent of a team leader who wants to meet up to show me how the job works.” I explained “And I figured I’d take on a more advanced & higher paying job so you can focus on your dream.” “Anyway, rears aside, you said something about a job?” She asked. “I can’t help it! You’ll soon learn that I hate being idle. Sure thing! How does tomorrow sound? I’d rather get set up as soon as possible so that I can get on the job faster.
